Linderhof Castle entrance fees 2024: If you want to see everything, the castle with a guided tour and the great buildings in the park, you pay an entrance fee of 10 euros. In the castle park, the Moorish Kiosk, the Moroccan House, the Venus Grotto and the Hunding Hut are worth seeing, among others. We think the entry price is cheap. There is a lot to see. Under 18 years free entry!!! In winter, only the castle can be visited, not the park buildings.
You have to take a guided tour of the castle. The tours are usually available in German and English and last around 25 minutes. During the tour you will receive interesting information about the castle and its history as well as about King Ludwig II, who built the castle.
Linderhof Castle 2024 opening hours: Daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in winter 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (mid-October to March). These opening times apply to the castle, the smaller buildings only in summer.
How to get to Linderhof Palace by car: To get to Linderhof Palace by car, follow the instructions below:
From the desired starting point, follow the motorway to Linderhof Castle. Depending on where you are, you can take the A7 or A95 motorway.
Take the Oberau exit (if you are coming from the A95) or the Oberau/Ettal exit (if you are coming from the A7) and follow the signs to Oberammergau.
Drive through Oberammergau and follow the signs to Ettal.
Once you have arrived in Ettal, follow the signs to Linderhof.
After about 10 km you will reach Linderhof Castle. Follow the signs to the parking lot.
Please note that traffic jams may occur during rush hour or holiday periods. It is recommended to arrive early to reserve a parking space and avoid waiting times.
Arriving by train and bus Linderhof Palace: One option would be to take the train from Munich Central Station to Oberammergau and from there take bus 9622, which goes directly to Linderhof Palace. The journey time is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
