FC Bayern Munich at Säbener Straße in Giesing
FC Bayern Munich has its club headquarters in the district of Giesing at the famous Säbener Straße. This is the administrative and sporting heart of the club. The offices of the entire association, the management of the professional football department, the training facilities and a large fan shop are all located here.
The main building along Säbener Straße is around 200 metres long and clearly reflects the size and importance of Germany’s most successful football club. Behind the building are approximately eight football pitches. These are used not only by the professional team but also by the numerous youth and amateur teams of FC Bayern. Some training sessions are open to the public, while others take place behind closed doors.

When public training sessions take place, several hundred or even thousands of spectators gather along the fences. The fan shop at the front of the building is another important attraction for visitors. Just a few hundred metres away, you will also find the facilities of TSV 1860 Munich and the historic Grünwalder Stadion, where FC Bayern’s second team has played home matches in the past. This concentration of football venues makes the area around Wettersteinplatz and Giesing the traditional football district of Munich.
The Allianz Arena, however, is located around 15 kilometres north of the city centre. The former home stadium, the Olympic Stadium, is also situated some distance away.
Training Ground and Facilities

On training days, many loyal fans and tourists visit Säbener Straße to watch the stars of FC Bayern. The large headquarters building directly on the street is impressive. Behind it are the training pitches. During public sessions, parts of the area are accessible to spectators. There is also a small hill in a nearby park area from where you have a good view over several training fields.
Attend a Public Training Session
In earlier years, most training sessions were open to the public. Today this happens less frequently, usually about once a week. On other days, training is private. Current public training dates are announced on the official FC Bayern website. However, short-notice changes are always possible.

Public training sessions are free of charge. On busy days, several thousand spectators may attend, especially when a new coach or star player is presented. Visitors can often stand just a few metres away from the players and coaching staff. Sometimes there are small snack stands selling drinks and Bavarian specialities.

FC Bayern Fan Shop at Säbener Straße
The official fan shop is located at the front of the main building. Here you can buy original jerseys, scarves, souvenirs and many other merchandise items. Match tickets are sometimes sold at the ticket counter outside the shop, but most games are sold out well in advance and club members usually have priority.
Opening hours (subject to change): Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
