The “Umadum” Ferris wheel (Bavarian for all around) has been a new attraction in Munich since 2019. With a height of 78 meters, it is currently the largest Ferris wheel in Germany. It has been standing behind the Ostbahnhof in Munich for several years.
The Umadum Ferris Wheel rotates very slowly. One revolution, i.e. one journey, takes about half an hour. There are a total of 27 gondolas for 16 people each. So the Munich Ferris Wheel has a capacity of 27 x16=432 passengers. Since a trip lasts around 30 minutes, over 800 people can ride every hour.
